This is the remains of a stone trackway and/or culvert to house a fuel pipe for a former beacon on the east side of the Erskine bridge. It is identical to that associated with the extant beacon on St Patrick's Stone (SMR: 62689) on the west side of the Bridge. The beacon is depicted on the 1st edition 6 inch OS.
