Description

A low, grass-covered oval mound measures 1.5m in diameter and is 1m high. It has large stones protruding from its base, suggesting a kerb. The stones measure up to 0.5m by 0.4m. The mound is actively eroding. Several further possible cairns lie in the hinterland but were not surveyed. D Lamb PhD fieldwork notes: The site could not be located with confidence; the area contains a number of mounds, some of which may be natural, others may be structures such as cairns.

This area contains a number of sites, and the coastline is eroding and submerging. Although this specific site could not be identified, the area should be monitored. Reassign priority 3
