Description

A concentration of stone is visible in an erosion face at the head of the banks. The exposure extends for 6m and is up to 0.4m high. The stone, which mostly comprises large horizontally-bedded slabs, appears to have been set into an old ground surface. There is little to indicate what, if any, type of a structure is represented. It is possible that this is a site which has just begun to erode and continued monitoring may be worthwhile. 21-04-13 Possibly associated with wall 12498. Remains of a paved area along the top of the coast edge behind the revetment wall, or a trackway?
