Description

A coastal exposure, 12m in length, reveals extensive deposits of black sooty sand. These deposits contain frequent inclusions of vitreous material and slag as well as shell. There are several stones towards the base of the section which may form part of a drain-like structure. There is a slight rise behind the section which may indicate the presence of further and associated remains. 6 July 2014: Appears to be relatively modern buried soil, covered by upcast from the road construction or nearby power cable. No industrial inclusions visible. Remove from priorities.
