Description

An amorphous mound lies 13m E of NM49. It is well defined, measuring 8m in diameter and up to 1m high. Two large stones are visible to the W side of the mound. A short earthen boundary leads from the S side of the mound to the cliff edge. This site may represent the remains of a dwelling of prehistoric date. Reassign to priority 3, on basis of risk of erosion. However this is an unusual and interesting site which is not yet understood and which would benefit from a project to investigate and characterise the remains and obtain dating evidence.
