The site of a promontory fort and the remains of a dun, underneath a now ruinous 19th century house. The remains on site comprise: the ruins of a one storey house; a small drystone building; 3 large stones forming a curve 10m long at the northeast corner of the house (the possible remains of the dun); a stone and turf enclosure wall along the east and west sides of the promontory, each part is 46m long and 2m wide; a possible grave marked by head and foot stones; and a low bank across the neck of the promontory, 23m long and 5m wide, possibly the original promontory wall. |
