Two turf dykes run across the neck of this promontory, enclosing an area of about 1.2 hectares. The earlier dyke has been reduced to a height of 0.2m for most of its length and runs in a shallow arc inland, with a turf-stripping scar on its landward side. The later dyke runs in a straight line on the seaward side of the earlier dyke, and truncates its east end.
ShoreUPDATE June 2013
As described.
Two low turf banks, one linear and one curvilinear, stretch circa 90m cutting off a large promontory.
Where the linear bank meets the cliff at its east and west end, there is an eroded section across it.

Erosion is confined to the east and west faces of the banks where they meet the cliff edge. The integrity of the monument, however, is not at risk from coastal erosion.
