HARBOUR
Post-Medieval
Na h-Eileanan Siar

Description

On the beach at Traigh na Berie, a low semi-circular length of walling, standing 1 course high, constructed of large boulders up to 1m in size. The eastern side is defined by a bedrock outcrop to define a roughly circular shape approximately 3m in diameter. Looks like a sheep crue
Up to 3 courses of walling made from very large angular boulders constructed against the western edge of the Gridig rocky promontory. Tumbled remains of a possible west wall lie on the shore. This looks very like a little harbour. A benchmark (8ft) is marked at the location of the east wall on the 1st and 2nd edition OS.
