Description

A deep, steep-sided cutting forming a linear trench running approximately east-west. Located on the cliffs adjacent to the coastal path, overlooking the causeway which connects the promontory to the mainland. Of unknown period/function; likely either associated with Lud Castle promontory fort, given the location overlooking the access, or possibly Second World War defences.
