Description

Surveyed in March 2015. A rectangular structure with brick walls and a flat, reinforced concrete roof, measuring 1.75m high, and 3.5m square. Semi-open to the south. Brick walls are one and a half bricks thick in English bond arrangement, appear to be constructed of Annbank bricks. Generally good condition, some cracks in brick walls. Originally used as a observation post, looking for mines in the loch, either air dropped or set by U-boats. Imminent plans for restoration, to include stainless steel seating and a battery-powered sound feature recreating the noise of a flying boat taking off.
