The section of wall on the southern perimeter that is being eroded by rain is a very sheer slope approximately 20 m above high water. It would be very difficult to stabilize safely (see photos).
Comments
Lots of graffiti on the stone (particularly the lintel of the entrance) suggests that this site has been visited frequently for sometime.
