Call for Papers: SCAPE/NAS conference

The Nautical Archaeology Society and the SCAPE Trust will be holding a joint conference in Glasgow on the 5th – 6th November 2016.

The conference is aimed at people interested in both terrestrial and marine archaeology, and will focus on the coast edge, the intertidal zone and under water.

Although Scotland features in one of the themes, the conference is international in outlook and papers from around the world are welcome.

Papers are invited on the following themes:

•           Threats to coastal and underwater archaeology (especially those related to climate change)

•           The maritime legacy of Scotland and its people

•           New coastal and underwater research and discoveries.

Proposals for posters and other displays will also be welcome.

Please send an abstract of no more than 300 words to - to arrive no later than Sunday 8th May.
