A project looking for evidence of James IV's dockyard at Airth got underway in October. A team from SCAPE and the Universities of St Andrews, Stirling, Coventry and Oxford joined by local volunteers and metal detectorists  thoroughly searched an area which local historians believe is the site of the medieval docks. The team are attempting to narrow down the most likely place for the docks by employing a variety of techniques to reconstruct the medieval river and landscape in an area just below the new Clackmannanshire Bridge. You can read all about how we got on in the latest SCHARP blog.
